Soulbound- Bethany Adams

 No

10 minutes is all I could do, not cause the book is bad but cause of the narration. Gabrielle de Cur and Stefan Rudnicki, I've  complained before about having multiple narrators as its distracting. Usually its manageable as it switches between characters chapter by chapter, not this book. If you like listing to a tennis match you might like this? they kept switching back and forth paragraph by paragraph No cant handle it.

I'm disappointed as the book its self had good reviews and I was looking forward to it, anyone know of another recording of this book?

The Guild Codex -Annette Marie

This is 3 series that are all interrelated

Its an urban fantasy series with well rounded charters and interesting unpredictable plotlines each book is approximately 8 hours long.

there are a couple of novellas that I am yet to get to so I will let you know

I do recommend reading all 3 series to fully enjoy these books as the cross over alot.

Spellbound- Narrated by Cris Dukrhart

  1. Three Mages and and a Margarita
  2. Dark arts and a Daiquiri
  3. Two witches and a Whiskey
  4. Demon Magic and a Martini
  5. The Alchemist and a Amaretto
  6. Druid Vices and a Vodka
  7. Lost Talismans and a Tequila (Teddy Hamilton)
  8. Damned Souls and a Sangria

Tori a fiery redhead with a bit of a temper, after hitting a customer with a drinks tray finds her self fired....again. Tori in a fit of desperation ends up working at a pub full of mythic's.

This is abit of the classic story of a human stumbling into a world of magic. while I enjoyed the overall story I disliked how purvey she is over her male friends, I get it they are hot

  1. Demonized- Narrated by Cris Dukrhart
  2. Taming Demons for Beginners
  3. Slaying Monsters for the Feeble
  4. Hunting Fiends for the Ill-Equipped
  5. Delivering Evil for Experts (Teddy Hamilton)

after the tragic loss of her parents Robin ends up staying with her uncle and family. Robin a shy quite book worm ends up in a world of demons and has to trust in the most deadly predator.

Cris Dukrhart also narrators these books which is great as I love the consistence between the characters it helps really enjoy the stories.

Lost Talismans and a Tequila and Delivering Evil for Experts also have chapters read by Teddy Hamilton, they are very short chapters and only 1 or 2

Warped- Narrated by Iggy Toma

this series was co-authored by Rob Jacobsen

  1. Warping Minds and other Misdemeanors
  2. Hellbound guilds and other misdirection's
  3. Rogue ghosts and Other Miscreants

Kit a movie enthusiast and former criminal ends being forced to work with the magic police to bring down his former work colleague. kit needs to use his special ability to cause people to hallucinate to gain his freedom.
I like Kit.... alot and really want to have a beer with him he's funny, smart and knows everything about pop culture.
Iggy Toma is the the perfect Kit he reads him exactly as I see him in my head

Six of crows - Leigh Bardugo

Ok so this was a ok story, not one I will listen to again.

It had 6 narrators......6! To much,  to distracting it ruined it for me especially the guy that read for Matthias. Matthias is meant to be about a 20 year old man but his story is being read by a guy who is atlest 50 it just wrong.
I would consider listening again if I can find a recording with one narrator.

This has recently been turned into a TV series I tried watching but couldn't get into it. My friend enjoyed the show, she hadn't read any of the books so didn't have anything to relate to. I wonder if that has anything to do with her enjoyment of it 🤔

House of earth and blood- Sarah J Maas

I start with a book that I LOVE!

A new series by Sarah j Maas read by Elizabeth Evans
This is an amazing book of urban fantasy. Think fae with cell phones.
Sarah blends the fantasy world so well into the modern landscape, social media, cell phones and magic.
A society of fae, angels, shifters, humans and more, its magic vs science that sometimes needs to work together.
The story it's self was unpredictable and engaging, I couldn't stop listening and have listened to it quite a few times (4)
Elizabeth Evans is a wonderful narrator for this series, her delivery is excellent, bring each character to life.

The next book in the series House of sky and breath is due out January 25 2022.

When I'm asked for a recommendation (hi my name is Kat and I'm addicted to books) it's my first go to.

My journey to audio books

I love books.
There is nothing more enjoyable than getting swept away into a different world and meeting new exciting people and traveling with them.
My only problem is that I struggle to sit still and read so a couple of years ago I discovered audiobooks. I could enjoy a story while washing the dishes, going for a walk or folding laundry (ok maybe not laundry, it's currently piled up on the couch)
After reading my next favorite thing is talking about what I've read, I believe I'm driving my friends and family crazy with it. But I want to share my thoughts, opinions and recommendations aswell as hearing what others think.
So I start this blog

Myth Protector-Jamie Hawke

Book 1 Narrated Teddy Hamilton Length 6 hours 54 min Book 2  No Idea and don't care "We work hard so we play hard" 🚩🚩🙄 So I...
